The Dubuque Daily Herald Wednesday August 17, 1887 NORMAL INSTITUTE.  Second Day’s Proceedings.  The institution is booming. there being 162 present. This is unusual for the first two days. All are enthusiastic. Mr. Kretschmer conducted exercises in arithmetic with the A and B divisions, and dwelt particularly on methods to present the subjects to pupils.
