Dubuque Daily Herald Tuesday December 6, 1887 CALLED HOME. Mother Clarke, the Founder of the Order of Sisters of Charity, B. V. M., is Dead. The Herald Saturday morning mentioned the fact that Mother Clarke, who founded the order of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was lying on her death bed.
