The Dubuque Daily Herald Tuesday December 31. 1889 Mr. DICKEY’S DEAL,  Dubuque in the Future to be an Important Shipbuilding City.  Mr. Dickey Has Purchased the Iowa Iron Works and Will Manufacture Steel Hulls for Steamboats.   A new deal has been made within the last few days in which Dubuque will be brought into more prominence
